New Web Projects

Each new proposal for web content (a single page, several pages, or a cluster of related pages) should have a clearly articulated goal and a detailed list of requirements.

With the goal and project requirements in hand, you may either contact the web director directly or submit your web project request online using the Communications project request form.

Best-practice Guidelines:

  1. Submit your project request
  2. Meet to discuss project
  3. Evaluate budget opportunities and constraints (i.e., will contract design or development work be necessary? What level of editing will the content require?)
  4. Discuss content-generation needs
  5. Identify page flow and content structure
  6. Determine and sign off on project scope
  7. Commit to milestones on the production schedule
  8. Delegate resources to deploy the project

Note: Please meet with the web director to brainstorm your project’s goals if you are not yet ready to submit a more complete project request.
