Picture college life and meet students like you

Congratulations on being admitted to a top art and design school! Now, it’s your chance to preview campus life and culture at our undergraduate Admitted Student Day on April 5, 2025.

Join us on campus in San Francisco to celebrate your admission, meet other admitted students, and get the info you need to make an informed decision to attend California College of the Arts (CCA) this fall!

This event is your opportunity to learn more about CCA, including our neighborhood, community, and culture.

  • Take a tour guided by a current student. Visit student housing and the shops and studios of our newly expanded campus.
  • Meet program faculty, check out demos, and see an exhibition of work by current students in each major.
  • Listen to alums discuss their experience attending CCA and what they have been doing with their degrees since graduating.
  • Ask the important questions and sign up to meet with a financial aid counselor one-on-one to discuss your offer letter and plan your budget.
  • Get to know the CCA community, learn about resources for students on campus, and meet the staff who will support you in all facets of college life.

Welcome to our admitted student celebration!

Timed sessions

Attend the sessions and programs that best fit what you’d like to know.

10-11 am Guided tours of the main campus, meet in Gensler Courtyard*

  • Including the all-new campus expansion; tours every 30 minutes. *In case of rain, campus tours will begin in the Osher Lobby in the Simpson Family Makers Building.

10-11 am Student housing tour, Founders Hall, 188 Hooper Street

  • Preview our on-campus residence at Founders Hall; tours every 30 minutes.

11 am-noon Alumni panel, Gensler Courtyard*

  • Hear from our alumni on how their experience at CCA prepared them for their careers and what they are doing now. *In case of rain, the panel will be held in the Nave Presentation Space.

Noon–1 pm and 1–2 pm Parent sessions, Nave Presentation Space

  • Join us for refreshments and a presentation on the future of CCA and arts education from President David Howse and First Year Core Studio Program Chair Erik Scollon.

Noon–1 pm and 1–2 pm Student sessions, Upper Ground Courtyard*

  • Join us for refreshments and an introduction to art college from CCA faculty and current students.
  • *In case of rain, the panel will be held in the First Year Studio.

  • Sign up for an appointment at our table in the Gensler Courtyard and meet one-on-one with staff to answer your financial aid questions.

  • Get to know the offices that support students on campus, including the Learning Resource Center, Student Affairs, Well-Being, and Belonging, Access & Disability Services, and more.

When you’ve decided to accept your offer of admission from CCA, make your $300 enrollment deposit to secure your spot for fall 2025.

Staying in the city by the bay

CCA is located at 145 Hooper Street in San Francisco’s Design District.

How to plan your visit

Getting to campus

By rideshare — A rideshare service can drop you off directly in front of our main campus building.

By car—Limited parking is also available along streets adjacent to our campus, with a four-hour time limit. There are parking garages in the neighborhood.

By public transportation — Campus is accessible by BART with Muni bus connections at Civic Center station or 16th Street station or by Muni with nearby stops for the 19, 22, and 55 bus lines.

From the airport — San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is about 12 miles (19.3 kilometers) from campus. There are several options for getting to campus from the airport, and SFO also has shuttle services that provide transportation to any destination in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area.

Lodging in San Francisco

Our campus is located in the Design District near Potrero Hill, with the Chase Center, the most prominent neighborhood landmark, less than a mile away.

Out-of-town visitors like to stay at the following nearby hotels: Hyatt Place (701 Third Street); Hotel Via (138 King Street); and Luma Hotel (100 Channel Street).
