Ceramics Chair Nathan Lynch receives NEA Grant for Seabird Nest Program

Ceramics Professor and Chair Nathan Lynch and Oikonos Ecosystem Knowledge received a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts for their Seabird Nest Program. The project, originally brought together with Matthew Passmore at MoreLab, focuses on designing and fabricating ceramic nesting modules for seabirds around the world who are at risk from habitat degradation and predation.

The project is just one example of how craft can be utilized to make a difference in the world.
