Recent Interior Design alum wins prestigious 2025 IIDA Student of the Year Award
Nitya Sanjana Reddy Cheruku (BFA Interior Design 2025) has been named the 2025 Student of the Year by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).

The IIDA Student of the Year award is one of the most prestigious honors in interior design education. The award recognizes an IIDA Student Member who has significantly impacted their school's interior design program and demonstrated outstanding leadership, insight, and involvement in the field.
This recognition places Nitya among an elite group of design students nationwide and highlights the college's strong interior design program.

In an era where sustainable design is becoming increasingly crucial, Nitya's commitment to environmental responsibility in interior design positions her as a forward-thinking designer ready to tackle contemporary challenges in the built environment.
This isn't the first time Nitya has been recognized for her excellence in interior design—she earned the acclaimed 2024 Angelo Donghia Foundation Senior Student scholarship to help cover the cost of her final year of studies and launch her design career. Nitya has also demonstrated exceptional leadership within the design community, serving as IIDA Vice President at CCA.
