Congratulations to textiles professor Josh Faught, who was named as one of the 2025 Guggenheim Fellows.

The Guggenheim Foundation’s 100th class of fellows includes 198 artists and scholars across 53 disciplines. Guggenheim Fellow recipients were selected through a rigorous application and peer review process from a pool of nearly 3,500 applicants. The individuals were selected based on both "prior career achievement and exceptional promise."

"Josh's work has always carried that rare alchemy of intellect, material wit, emotional depth, and cultural resonance. It’s no surprise the Guggenheim committee saw what so many of us have long known: his practice continues to expand the possibilities of what textiles can carry—emotionally, politically, and historically," said dean of Fine Arts Sunny Smith.

Two CCA alumni and one honorary doctorate recipient are also included in the class of 2025: Teresa Baker (MFA Fine Arts 2013), Dionne Lee (MFA Fine Arts 2017), and Mildred Howard (2023 honorary doctorate recipient).

Congratulations to all for this remarkable accomplishment!
